 We are seeking projects & ideas for projects that affect

  • Water Quality

  • Water Quantity

  • Water-related Environmental Stewardship

 We invite you to submit an application for water resources-related projects that would benefit the Upper Pit River watershed, which includes the sub-watersheds of Burney, Hat Creek, Fall River, and Upper Pit River.

At this point, projects may be conceptual in nature, or so-called “shovel ready.”

The first step in project development is contacting an IRWMP in-region team member (below) and completing the quick-and-easy, “Step 1” application form.

 This call for projects is part of local efforts to develop an Integrated Water Resources Management Plan (IRWMP) for the Upper Pit region, which will make the region eligible for State Department of Water Resources grant funds under Proposition 84 (www.water.ca.gov/irwm).

We expect $6 to 8 million to be available for the Upper it River Watershed region on a competitive basis, beginning as early as 2013.
